This significant period home was one of the original estate homes in the area and it was under strict heritage controls. The owners wanted to open up their home to better suit their lifestyle.
This elegant home was transformed by extending the back of the house to create a large comfortable family room with fireplace and shelving to house the owners extensive book collection, a stunning kitchen with very functional butlers pantry, and a large meals area. Two of the existing rooms were renovated creating a new study and music room. A covered and paved alfresco entertaining area was also built and integrated with the existing roof line.
High ceilings were maintained and large cornices and window profiles were duplicated to to provide a seamless integration of old and new.
